Meeting Sunday October, 26, 2008
Greetings Fellow Members and Friends, Due to some family health issues, we have delayed our next gathering of the PA Squadron to Sunday, October 26, 2008. Once again, we will join together in the Community Club at Fort Indiantown Gap, north of Annville, PA. We are sorry for the delay, but we will have a very special guest speaker. Thanks to PA Squadron member Richard Kettering, we are fortunate enough to bring General William T. Hobbins to the Gap to speak to us. We will appreciate your presence at this gathering and hope that you will be able to attend. A time of fellowship will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM after which we will enjoy a delicious buffet meal. The cost of the meal is $13.00 per person. Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 15th to Don or Gerri.
Following is just a short portion of General Hobbins Bio of his military experiences. You must attend the meeting to receive the rest! But we feel very fortunate to be able to introduce General Hobbins to such a great group of Sampson Vets.
General Tom Hobbins retired as Commander, U.S. Air Forces in Europe; Commander, NATO Allied Air Component Command, Ramstein; and Director, Joint Air Power Competence Centre, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. There, he was responsible for Air Force activities in a theater spanning three continents, covering more than 20 million square miles, 93 countries, and territories, and possessing one-fourth of the world’s population and about one-third of the world’s Gross Domestic Product. (To be continued at the meeting).
So don’t forget these important dates:
* Before Wednesday, October 15th – RSVP and mail check for dinners. Call Don or Gerri Lehman at 717-252-2485. Make checks payable to Gerri Lehman and mail to her at: 603 Locust Street Wrightsville, PA 17368. ($13.00 per person)
* Sunday, October 26th – PA Squadron meeting at the Gap
* The yearly PA Squadron dues are due in October. ($10.00 per year)
Bring your wives or friends and have a nice enjoyable day and Fort Indiantown Gap.
Yours truly, Don Lehman President
